Why sell to us

Every car buying service says it is fast and fair. Here is what we actually do differently, and where we are not the right answer.

The price we quote is the price we pay

The common complaint about selling a car this way is the number dropping at the last moment, once you have already committed. We have built the whole process around not needing to do that.

That is why we ask more than a registration and a phone number. Mileage, six areas of condition graded against photographs, service history, anything declared. The more you tell us, the tighter the price gets — and once it is a single figure, it is a figure we commit to before anyone travels.

It only changes if the car is not as described. If that happens you will be shown exactly what and why, and you can keep the car. Nothing is owed.

We show our working

Your offer comes with the arithmetic attached: the guide value for your car, what the mileage did to it, what each condition grade did to it, and what came off for anything you declared. Every line, in order.

Most services show you a number and leave you to wonder how they got there. A price you can check is a price you can trust — and it makes it obvious which answers would move it.

You grade the condition against pictures, not adjectives

"Good condition" means something different to everyone, and that gap is where last-minute price cuts come from. So instead of asking you to pick a word, we show you photographs of the same wheel, panel, seat, tyre and windscreen at five levels of wear, and you slide until it matches your car.

It takes a couple of minutes and it is the single biggest reason our on-the-day price holds.

We come to you

Your home or your workplace, at a time you pick, often the same day. No driving to a retail park, no waiting room, no being handed a lower number once you have already spent your morning getting there.

Paid before the car moves

Bank transfer, set up at your address, sent before the car is driven away. You see it leave our account. We handle the DVLA notification the same day and your road tax refund follows automatically.

No fees, in any direction

No valuation fee, no admin fee, no collection charge, nothing deducted for paperwork. We make our money on the difference between what we pay you and what the car sells for. If we also charged you fees, we would be pricing the same car twice.

Awkward cars are still cars

MOT failures, warning lights, damage, outstanding finance, recorded write-offs. None of it stops us buying — it changes the price, which is a different thing. Declaring it up front gets it priced in rather than discovered on your driveway.

When we are not the right answer

If you have the time to advertise your car, take the calls, host the viewings and carry the risk on payment, a private sale will usually get you more. We are competing on certainty and on your time, not on beating the private market.

We would rather say that here than have you find it out afterwards.
