A draft for review by a solicitor before launch. It describes what the site as built actually does, so it is a starting point rather than boilerplate — but it is not legal advice and has not been checked by anyone qualified.

What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use the device and location information for anything other than the fraud and safety purposes above. We do not build advertising profiles.
The assistant
The question box on this site is powered by an AI model provided by Anthropic. What you type is sent to them to generate a reply. Do not put bank details, card numbers or passwords into it — it does not need them and we will never ask for them there.
How long we keep it
- Device and fraud-prevention signals: 90 days, then deleted automatically
- Valuations that never became a sale: 12 months
- Completed purchases: 6 years, because HMRC and the DVLA require it
- Assistant conversations: 12 months
Who we share it with
The DVLA and DVSA for vehicle and MOT data; our vehicle history provider; our messaging providers for the texts and emails we send you; Anthropic for the assistant. Each processes it only to deliver that service.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to the fraud-prevention processing, or withdraw marketing consent. Email hello@kerbside.example. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

One cookie, which keeps your valuation attached to your browser so you can come back to it. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.
