Terms
A draft for review by a solicitor before launch. It reflects how the service actually behaves, but it is not legal advice.
The online figure is not a contract
The price shown on this site is an estimate based on what you tell us. It is an invitation to arrange an inspection, not a binding offer. A binding offer is made by our buyer in person, once they have seen the car.
It assumes the car matches your description
If the car differs from what you described — different mileage, damage that was not declared, a warning light, missing keys or paperwork — the buyer will explain what has changed and what it does to the price. You are free to decline and keep the car. Nothing is owed either way, and we do not charge for the visit.
Valuations expire
A valuation is valid for 7 days. Used car values move; after that we would need to re-check the market.
You must be entitled to sell the car
By booking a visit you confirm you are the registered keeper or are authorised to sell on their behalf, and that you will disclose any outstanding finance. We run a provenance check before purchase. We cannot buy a car that is recorded as stolen, and we will settle outstanding finance directly with the lender rather than paying you the full amount.
Payment
We pay by bank transfer to an account in the seller's name. We do not pay in cash. Payment is sent once the paperwork is complete and before the vehicle leaves. Clearing times are set by your bank, not by us.
Appointments
Same-day appointments depend on a buyer being available in your area. If we have to change or cancel a visit we will tell you as soon as we know. Please do the same — call 0800 000 0000.
After the sale
We notify the DVLA of the change of keeper. You should keep your copy of the V5C section and cancel your insurance and any road tax direct debit once the sale is complete. Any refund of road tax comes from the DVLA.
Complaints
Email hello@kerbside.example or call 0800 000 0000. We will acknowledge within two working days.
